At TAS Swimming, pool deck is a very interesting place. Not many people realise this because what is taught and shared is largely between Coach Duncan and his swimmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This team, is well educated. They not only learn how to swim fast, but they are taught about rainbows and nature and poems by the ancient mystics are recited for meaning and enjoyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They learn a multitude of things about life and about themselves, with a strong focus on mental strength, resilience, goal setting and placing trust in the process of their training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hard work is always done behind the scenes, at odd hours when swimmers are tired and over it, and outside the ‘obvious’ lap after lap after lap. This is where their grit, belief, resilience and never die attitudes are birthed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This team also finds strength and support in each other. They are particularly close, having seen each other vulnerable so many times, and shared in each other’s successes and failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So pleasing to see a smile, and teammates having a laugh and a hug.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
